The Ambler Dog Days of Summer is a yearly event that is a popular family tradition for many local families.
Organizers promise that the 2018 version of the Dog Days of Summer will include plenty of fun for the whole family. Local canines can show off their amazing skills, good looks, and more. Many titles are up for grabs including pet/owner lookalikes, celebrity lookalikes, and best name. There will even be awards for the biggest dog, the smallest, the best groomed, and the one showing off the best collection of sports attire.
Each year, the organizers select a local organization that will receive proceeds from this event. Tiny Paws Rescue is the chosen beneficiary for this year. The non-profit rescue organization rescues, fosters, and rehomes small dogs. The group serves the Philadelphia and South Jersey regions and surrounding communities.
Registration for the Ambler Dog Days of Summer contests and parade begins at 9:00 AM on August 4 behind the Ambler Savings Bank. The pet parade sets out at 10:00 AM. Registration fees are $10 per animal. Vendors can rent a table for the event for $25, while nonprofit organizations that would like to hand out or sell Promotional Products can have a table for free.
