Ambler Main Street is hosting the town’s annual Dog Days of Ambler dog show and parade this August.
The event will start off with a parade of participating dogs through downtown Ambler. Then, dogs and their owners will be able to take part in several contests and other activities. Dog owners will be able to show off their pets’ best tricks and dress their dogs in creative outfits to compete in several judged events. Judging categories will include Largest Dog, Smallest Dog, Best Trick, Dog That Looks Most Like Its Owner, Celebrity Lookalike, Dog Only a Mother Could Love, and Best Philly Sports Attire. Prizes will be awarded for the winners in each category. The event is free to attend and suitable for all ages.
Dog owners can register their pets on the morning of the show. Registration will take place behind Ambler Savings Bank, starting at 9:00 am. The dog parade will begin at 10:00 am, with contest judging to follow. Parking in downtown Ambler is metered and costs $1 per hour. Drivers can pay for parking with coins or through the Flowbird app. Local businesses often provide Promotional Products to include in prize Bags at this type of event.
