The Ambler Theater is hosting a special screening of the film Child’s Play, followed by an after party this fall.
The event is part of the movie theater’s Retrograde series, which features cult classics from the 1980s and 1990s. The theater wants to create a nostalgic experience reminiscent of the period when video rental stores were popular. After the show, moviegoers can bring their ticket stubs to Forest and Main Brewing Company and receive discounted $5 draft beers for the rest of the evening. The ticket will host karaoke at the pub as well.
Child’s Play is a popular horror film starring Chucky, the spirit of a serial killer possessing a Good Guy doll. The story starts when a single mother inadvertently gives the haunted doll to her son. It has continued in a long-running franchise.
Tickets are available online and at the theater’s box office. The cost is $13 for general admission, $11 for seniors and young adults aged 25 and younger, and $7.50 for members of the nonprofit theater. Theaters often use printing services to produce their tickets and other materials. The next film in the Retrograde series is Clue, which will be shown in November.
The Ambler Theater will show Child’s Play on Thursday, October 12 at 7:00 pm, with karaoke and discounted drinks at Forest and Main Brewing Company to follow.
