The Act II Playhouse in Ambler will be hosting the holiday-themed comedy show Christmas in the Catskills this December.
Tony Braithwaite, who Philadelphia Weekly has called Philadelphia’s best comedic performer, will star in the show. The performance will include jokes and stories inspired by classic comedians like Rodney Dangerfield and Mel Brooks. This season’s world premiere of Christmas in the Catskills will also include a Friars Club-style roast of Santa Claus.
The show has a run time of 70 minutes with no intermission. Performances will take place on Wednesdays through Sundays throughout December, with both 2:00 pm matinee and 8:00 pm evening shows on most dates. The Act II Playhouse recommends it for audiences aged 13 and older.
Ticket prices range from $37 to $49 depending on the date and seat location. Discounts are available for seniors and members of the military. Those interested in attending the show should purchase tickets early, as some shows are already sold out. Tickets are available online or in person at the box office, which is open from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday. Local theaters often use poster printing services to promote their upcoming shows and events. All ticket sales are final, but exchanges may be available.
