The Ambler Theater is hosting an online social event as part of its Retrograde series this month.
Interested parties can sign onto Amazon Prime and join the theater for a simultaneous screening of the 1986 cult classic Highlander. The two-hour long movie is also available for download on iTunes, or Amazon Video.
Sean Connery, Christopher Lambert, and Clancy Brown star in this Highlander, directed by Russell Mulcahy. It is about a Scotsman who is in an unending battle to maintain the immortal title of Highlander. His opponent is a villainous barbarian. The soundtrack is famously by Queen, and the film is not suitable for children.
During the movie, the theater will have a group on the Discord application to socialize. After the movie, there will be a trivia contest with a fantasy theme, with prizes available to be won. Forest & Main Brewing Company, which is collaborating with the theater, is available to deliver beverages during the film. The event is free but audience members must have an Amazon Prime account, or alternatively will need to download the movie.
