Gypsy Blu restaurant in Ambler is hosting an interactive murder mystery dinner this February.
The event will be 1950s sock hop prom-themed, with the fictional murder taking place on the dancefloor. Attendees will participate in short skits and may have the option to take on a larger role as one of the suspects. Mini-goals and new evidence will keep the audience involved throughout the event.
Tickets are available online through Eventbrite and are expected to sell out soon. The cost is $85 per person plus Eventbrite fees, which covers a three-course dinner and the interactive show. Drinks are not included in the ticket price, but a full bar will be available throughout the evening. All guests need to be 21 or older. Tables seat up to 10 people, so guests can opt to register in groups.
Dinner will include a Caesar salad and a choice of filet mignon or sea bass served with potatoes and green beans, finishing with New York-style cheesecake or triple chocolate cake for dessert. Attendees are encouraged to wear period-themed costumes, like black or white suits, puffy-sleeved gowns, and hair bows. Restaurants often use flyer printing services to help promote their special events.
The murder mystery dinner will take place on Friday, February 2 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at Gypsy Blu in Ambler.
