Movie fans will want to learn more about the activities the city of Ambler plans for the 2019 Academy Awards event. The annual three days of festivities include a variety of events and a special awards show viewing.
Everyone can participate in a scavenger hunt to find Oscar, as well as enjoy special offers around town and much more. The organizers will announce the full details of the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday event as the date draws near, so watch for flyer printing and online posts for more information.
The most anticipated activity of the weekend celebration takes place at the Ambler Theater. Interested parties should reserve their seats in one of the three auditoriums live streaming the award show. In addition to the show, guests can arrive early for the Red Carpet Reception. A photo booth for mementos and a variety of raffles with the winner announcements taking place during the Academy Award commercial breaks are also planned. The theater website also lists the many local restaurants that will have pre-award dinner specials that evening.
The Oscar party takes place as the Ambler Theater at 108 East Butler Avenue in Ambler on February 24. The Red Carpet Reception is from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm and includes a champagne toast and light snacks. The awards show lasts from 8:00 pm to midnight and endless drinks and popcorn are included. Seats are $25 each for general admission and $15 for theater members.
