What's Happening in Ambler, PA…

The Ambler Campus of Temple University is hosting two weekday events in the middle of June.

As part of its Speaker Series, there will be a Geology Talk and Walk. Natalie Flynn, professor of Geology at Temple University, will stroll through the Arboretum with visitors and detail the local history while the group views the various stone on display in the gardens. Each type of stone has a place in Ambler's story.

The Speaker Series includes workshops, lectures, and tours of the Arboretum. Topics include significance of women in horticulture, sustainability, and the restorative effect plants have. There is an event once a month and a question and answer forum follows each event. Registration is free for members of the Arboretum, and Temple University students and staff. General admission is $10.

The Department of Admissions will discuss transferring to the university and provide a summary of what it can provide. Guests will also get a tour of the Ambler campus and an opportunity to ask questions for officials in Academic Advising. All students interested in transferring to Temple University are welcome, but an appointment is required.

The Geology Walk and Talk will take place on June 17 at 7pm at the Campus Lounge in Bright Hall. Appointments for Transfer Thursday are on June 18 from 9am to 4pm in the West Hall. Both Bright Hall and West Hall are at 580 Meeting House Road.
