Mid-December is going to be a busy time for Ambler, as families celebrate the winter holidays.
The Ambler Symphony will host a Sing-A-Long on the Ambler Theater stage. It will take place on December 11 from 6:30pm until 9:30pm, starting with holiday classics like Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson and The Nutcracker Suite. The concert will also include songs for caroling.
When the concert concludes, around 7:30 to 8:00 pm, the theater will show the 1954 classic holiday movie White Christmas. Four singers – played by Danny Kaye, Bing Crosby, Vera-Ellen, and Rosemary Clooney – hold a holiday concert only to discover an old acquaintance in need. The Christmas show becomes a chance to work a miracle.
Tickets are good for the concert and the movie and cost $10. The Ambler Theater is located at 108 East Butler Avenue.
On December 12 at 7:00 pm, Santa will arrive at Ambler Main Street by train. It is part of a community tradition when Mr. and Mrs. Claus ride the rails to the South platform where locals greet them. The couple will then walk to Ambler Borough Hall to sing with the Ambler Station Singers, read a story, and hand out treats.
Organizations often use poster printing to both advertise and mark the location of holiday events. It ensures that the public knows where to go, and at what date and time.
