Kids from Ambler and the surrounding areas are invited to participate in the Kids Rock Triathlon in Blue Bell.
Scoogie Events is presenting this swimming, biking, and running event for children ages 6 to 15, with eligibility determined by the age the child will be by the end of this year. Everyone who finishes the triathlon will receive a medal.
Shirts will be available for everyone who registers in time, and everyone will be celebrated at the awards ceremony. Participants can also enjoy pizza, snow cones, balloons, and a bounce house. Organizers will paint faces and apply temporary tattoos.
The triathlon serves as a Wissahickon Watershed Association fundraiser and advertises the Penllyn Club. Promotional Pens are another way to advertise an organization and make for useful tools.
The distances of each event depends on the age of the participant. Organizers will stagger that start time of the swimming portion of the triathlon, and ample lifeguards will be available at the pool outside to keep participants safe.
After swimming, participants will head to a transition area where they can change into the appropriate clothes and equipment for riding a bike. Their bikes will be there, ready for riding.
The address of the Penllyn Club is 525 Gwynedd Avenue. Registration is $59 until April 30, and then increases to $69. The Kids Rock Triathlon will be held on June 13, from 8:00 to 10:00 am.
