Ambler Chamber to host cooking competition fundraiser

The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County is hosting a cooking competition fundraiser for its nonprofit members this July.

Cooking for a Cause will include a culinary competition, food tasting, an open bar and several raffles. There will be time for networking, and attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite entries. Chamber of Commerce members often use business card printing services to prepare for networking events.

Tickets are available on the Chamber’s website for $50 per person. The event is intended for Chamber members only. The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County’s members include business and nonprofit leaders from Ambler and other towns throughout the county. Those interested in sponsoring the event or entering the compensation can email Kim Nguyen at kim@chambergmc.org.

Proceeds from the event will support nonprofit organizations that are current Chamber members, with five groups specifically being recognized. These are the Montco Anti-Hunger Network, North Wales Area Library, Sweatshirt of Hope, NAMI Montgomery County and The Giving Tree. The organizations work on a variety of issues, including hunger and mental health, with different methods. The Anti-Hunger Network focuses on coordinating among food pantries, and The Giving Tree provides needed items to hospitals and homeless shelters while teaching kids to give back.

Cooking for a Cause will take place on Thursday, July 10 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Volpe Enterprises.
