Angel Flight East is hosting Wings N’ Wheels, a community event that showcases vintage cars and planes, this September.
Adults and children of all ages and from anywhere in the area, including Ambler and other neighboring towns, are welcome to attend. The event will feature a selection of vintage cars and antique aircraft. Local restaurants will participate in a “Wing Off” competition for the best chicken wings. Attendees can meet police K-9 units and visit displays like a construction project built by local Boy Scouts. They will also have the opportunity to take scenic flights with Angel Flight East pilots. Food, music, and kids’ activities will be available as well.
The cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child, which can be paid at the gate. All proceeds will go towards Angel Flight East, a non-profit organization that offers free air transportation for those who need to travel for medical care. The organization pairs private pilots with medically stable patients who need to travel within the northeastern part of the country. Pilots volunteer their time and planes and cover associated costs like fuel. Non-profits often use brochure printing services to provide information about the programs and benefits they offer.
Wings N’ Wheels will take place on Saturday, September 9, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, at Wings Field in Blue Bell.
