The next date for the Second Saturday Barn Sale at St. Thomas Whitemarsh is coming up this July.
The sale is one of the largest yard and estate sales in the area. Shoppers from Fort Washington, Ambler and other nearby towns can peruse a variety of second-hand items.
Wares will be organized into departments, including the Cinderella department for women’s and children’s clothing, and the Top Shop department for designer clothing. Men’s clothing, home décor pieces, sporting goods, hardware items, jewelry, children’s toys, Books, and small furniture pieces will also be available.
Donations of items in any of the categories listed above are welcome and can be dropped off at any point until the Wednesday before the sale. St. Thomas Whitemarsh does not accept electronics, large furniture pieces, or mattresses. Organizations often use printing services to prepare promotional materials for this type of event.
Shoppers can pay for their purchases by cash or check. All proceeds from the sale will go toward various local and global charities. These include Ambler’s Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard and The Honduras Water Project. Shoppers will be able to purchase breakfast at Mac’s Cafe.
The July Barn Sale will take place on Saturday, July 9, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Additional sales are scheduled for the second Saturdays of August, September, October, and November.
