A group that took home the win on a popular show will be bringing their act to Salem in late March as a part of their newest tour.
Girl Named Tom (GNT) is a band made of siblings Caleb, Joshua, and Bekah Liechty. Forming in 2019, the group got their name from Joshua referring to his sister as “Thomas” when they were younger. In 2021, GNT decided to audition for NBC’s “The Voice,” the widely popular singing competition. After choosing to be mentored by Kelly Clarkson, the trio became the first group to win the contest.
Performing both original and cover songs, GNT has amassed a diverse catalog. Some of the tunes the group has recorded include “Jolene” (originally by Dolly Parton), “23,” “Billie Jean” (originally by Michael Jackson), “Walnut Hills,” “River” (originally by Bishop Briggs), and “No Snow for Christmas.”
Tickets for the local show range in cost from $29 to $59, but each price will go up by another $5 if purchased on the date of the event. They can be bought through the site for the venue of the concert, the Elsinore Theatre. Merchandise printed with the Logo Design of the performing acts is often sold during music events.
The doors will open an hour prior to the show’s starting time, which is currently 7:30 pm. The date of the concert is Thursday, March 30.
