Fairgrounds in Salem packed with July events

Salem is hosting a variety of events at the state fairgrounds this July.

The Marion County Fair is being held from July 9 to July 12 at the Oregon State Fairgrounds at 2330 17th St NE in Salem. Prices range from $5-$9, with free admission for children 5 and younger, as well as a $5 fee for parking.

With animal events, demonstrations, multiple LEGO building competitions, musical performances and carnival food galore, the Marion County Fair is four full days of entertainment experiences for all ages. Performers slated to take the stage at the fair include Radio Ready, The Junebugs, Cherry City Cloggers, Casey Donahew and Justin Lawrence.

Then on July 25, the Oregon State Fair and Exposition Center portion of the fairgrounds campus is hosting the state’s largest open-air garage and vintage sale. Held from July 25 to July 26, ticket prices range from $5 for $15, depending on if they are single-day, early-bird, or weekend passes, with no cost for children 17 and younger. There is also a $10 parking fee per car.

The garage and vintage sale is welcome to both shoppers and sellers. With thousands of thrift treasure hunters in attendance at each event, Oregon’s Largest Open-Air Garage and Vintage Sale has also hosted markets in Redmond, Oregon.

Fairgrounds events like this may choose to use banner printing to create marquees for concerts and Signs for food carts and market vendors.
