Salem’s Elsinore Theatre is welcoming a YouTube personality popular with toddlers this May.
The Be Like Blippi Tour will feature Blippi himself, as well as his best friend, Meekah, as they perform some of their many hit children's songs, including “Monster Truck” and “The Excavator Song.”
With explorations on topics such as dinosaurs and being curious about the world, the live show emphasizes interaction and play as much as it does playing the hits.
Participants are encouraged to don the famous orange glasses and see the world through a new set of eyes – Blippi’s.
The YouTube series Blippi has been active since 2014. The character, who explores everything from children’s museums to a popsicle stand and is known to have an affinity for blue and orange, has been portrayed by multiple actors over the years. Stevin John was the original, with Clayton Grimm appearing in more recent episodes.
The Be Like Blippi Tour performance offers a photo experience add-on. For an extra fee, participants can meet Blippi on stage and take a photo with him.
Live performances like this may choose to use poster printing to create activity schedules, music setlists, and promotional material.
The Be Like Blippi Tour is happening on Friday, May 8 at 6:00 pm at the Elsinore at 170 High St SE in Salem. Tickets range from $30 to $60.
