The Mid-Valley Literacy Center (MVLC) is hosting its 11th annual Spotlight on Literacy fundraiser at the Roth’s Event Center in Salem.
The event ticket includes a dinner, silent and live auction, raffle, and more, all in the name of supporting the MVLC’s programs and raising awareness for adult literacy.
A Literary Trailblazer Award Speaker will also be part of the celebrations. Past honorees have included former Gov. Barbara Roberts and Susan Castillo, a onetime state senator.
Ticketholders will be given a full-course dinner that includes hazelnut-crusted chicken, twice-baked potatoes, salad, vegetables, and a roll. There are also vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. A Dessert Dash event will conclude the meal.
The MVLC was formed as a non-profit in 2009. It was established to teach adults the literary skills they need to increase their financial stability and quality of life
The Spotlight on Literacy event is also an opportunity to highlight the MVLC’s accomplishments and progress, with the funds raised going towards adults furthering their literacy education.
Fundraising dinners like these may choose to use brochure printing to create programs and Menus.
The Mid-Valley Literacy Center’s Spotlight on Literacy 2025 event is happening on Friday, April 25 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Roth’s Event Center in Salem at 1130 Wallace Rd. Tickets are available for $60 and formal attire is recommended.
