Salem will once again be the location for the Mid-Willamette Valley Lavender Festival when the celebration returns to Arrowhead Lavender Farm & Co. this July.
The family-friendly festival includes a 30-foot-long underground slide, fenced-in play structures and miniature donkeys, among other attractions.
In addition, there will be live music, a market featuring vendors who make artisanal goods and food trucks. Lavender lemonade will also be available for a beverage.
People can also sign up to pick their own bouquets of lavender.
Carpooling is encouraged for this event on an active farm, which has some rocky terrain and uneven gravel for vehicles.
People are encouraged to walk through lavender fields and enjoy a tasting event with lavender-themed dishes. In addition, a wreath-making workshop will be held at the festival. More areas to cool down or relax under the shade will also be part of the festivities compared to last year.
Outdoor events like this may choose to use Stationery printers for making crop labels creating vendor Signs.
The 2nd Annual Mid-Willamette Valley Lavender Festival is happening on July 11-12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day and on Sunday, July 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is happening at the Arrowhead Lavender Farm & Co. at 6373 Sunnyview Road NE. Though there is no entry fee for the festival itself, there is a $10 charge for parking.
