With the added departures, the airline said it will, on average, have over 100 daily departures flying from PDX.
Alaska airline revenue management and network planning vice president, Kirsten Amrine, explained that the airline had been PDX’s largest carrier for over 20 years - a position she says they do not take for granted.
Port of Portland chief aviation officer Dan Pippenger, commenting on the additional flights, said:
“The increase in service means more visitors for our concession and ground travel partners — the local businesses that are the heart of our region and bring so much excitement to our airport.”
Print shops are often called upon to provide signage throughout airports such as these.
Presently, the carrier provides a nonstop service to 53 destinations from PDX, and will increase service to a few cities including Reno, Las Vegas, Sacramento, and Ontario, starting from August 20, 2024.
Additionally, flights to Denver, Phoenix, Dallas-Fort Worth, Medford, and Fresno are to be added, starting October 1.
Year-round flights will start on March 14 to Nashville, Tennessee.
Aside from the year-round extra flights, Alaska Airlines will also add a second daily roundtrip to Redmond/Bend on its winter-spring seasonal flight schedule. Moreover, seasonal nonstop flights to Kansas City, Billings, and Minneapolis will extend past the original late summer termination until the end of 2024.Get a Free Quote for Print
