Upcoming fair targets property management gurus
The Maintenance Fair is taking place at the end of the month in Portland. It is aimed at those who work in property management.
Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from 40 classes on topics such as energy rebates, diagnosing plumbing issues, dealing with various appliances, and learning about fair housing. There will also be a number of speeches, including one from keynote speaker Alan Maggart from Greystar.
More than 70 exhibitors are expected to be on hand to showcase the latest equipment and products of use to the maintenance community.
Guests can also take part in the National Apartment Association (NAA) Maintenance Man competition, ‘Maintenance Mania’. There are seven separate parts to the contest, including faucet installation, a deadbolt lock test, and the Motorola racecar competition. The winning competitor will be named National Champion at the end.
It is likely that those who are in the industry will travel to Portland from all over the country to attend this event. To make sure plenty of people know about it, organizers may have invested in flyer printing services to have an item that can be mailed out to various property management companies.
The Maintenance Fair will take place at the Oregon Convention Center on March 31 from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Registration fees are $100 for NAA members and $150 for nonmembers. Call 503-213-1281 for more information.
