Portlands Rose City Classic Dog Show scheduled for 2024

One of the largest canine events in the U.S. is held each January in Portland, and once again some of the best dogs from across the country and around the world will converge in the city this coming January.

The five-day Rose City Classic Series of Dog Shows begins on a Wednesday, with an all-terrier group show and a number of individual breed specialty shows conducted by the local AKC dog clubs. These clubs exist to preserve and improve a specific breed or group of breeds.

Large events have multiple uses for printing services including tickets, programs, banners, and trophies.

The next four days of the show are dedicated to four all-breed shows, featuring competition among 180 AKC breeds in conformation for Best in Show, Best of Breed, and championships. Additionally, there will be a number of other competitions such as Trick Dogs, Agility, Scent Work Testing, Temperament Testing, and Obedience.

Another feature of the event is the educational Meet-the-Breeds. Owners from over 70 breeds will be on hand to share information with the public regarding their breed. There is also a Beginner Puppies competition, which will take place for puppies 4-6 months old.

The Rose City Classic takes place January 17-21 at the Portland Expo Center. Please be advised that although this is a dog show, attendees must leave their own dogs at home.

Purina ProPlan is the Rose City Classic official sponsor.
