Portland to once again host Mass Timber Conference

The 7th Annual International Mass Timber Conference will be held at the Oregon Convention Center in late March, and if the last in-person conference is any indication, it is expected that over 2,000 registrants from more than 30 countries will be there.

The Conference Center’s expanded Exhibit Hall is already on track to sell out, with sponsorships going fast. The official hotels for the event, the Hotel Eastlund and Hyatt Regency, have reported that rooms are selling quickly as well.

The March event will include a temporary change to the traditional Mass Timber Conference format in that activities will take place Monday through Wednesday rather than over a weekend. On the first day, participants can choose between two ticketed events – a clinic on Becoming a Mass Timber Design Expert or mass timber build tours.

Banner printing services are utilized both inside and outside of event venues.

Over the next two days, 16 educational panels will offer multiple keynote speakers and “Fireside Chat” presentations to augment the usual lively exhibit hall atmosphere. Receptions will take place Monday and Tuesday evenings and have been adjusted to round-up an hour earlier than in the past to provide companies and attendees more time and flexibility to attend private meetings and dinners.

The International Mass Timber Conference will take place March 27 to 29, and include architects, designers, builders, developers, mass timber producers, code officials, and more. The event is produced by WoodWorks and Forest Business Network.
