Fans of classic video games are already lining up to secure tickets for an event scheduled to take place in October.
The 2026 Portland Retro Gaming Expo will display some of the most famous games of all time, and also highlight how the industry has transformed society over the years.
The event can trace its modern origins back to 1996 when a local business decided to host an Atari 2600 championship. Since this time, it has grown to attract a diverse audience from across the greater Portland area, and now enjoys a nationwide reputation.
Organizers have confirmed that a number of guest speakers will be attending this year's exposition, including voice actors, singers, and well-known software developers. Examples include Grant Kirkhope, Michael Guinn, Ryan Drummond, and Robert Belgrade. Content creators, podcasters, and video game historians will also be making their presence known.
Conventions that attract a broad demographic will frequently turn to well-rounded marketing approaches to connect with their audience base. One proven example is securing the services of graphic design firms when creating Flyers.
The 2026 Portland Retro Gaming Expo is taking place from Friday, October 9 to Sunday, October 11. The itinerary for each day can be found on the official website. It will be hosted within the Oregon Convention Center located at 777 NE MLK Jr. Boulevard. Single-day adult passes cost $45, and weekend passes are priced at $90.
