Portland residents can explore their wild side at an after-hours event for adults, featuring demonstrations, exhibits, and refreshments.
The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is hosting ‘OMSI After-Dark: Animals’ next. During this event, brave guests aged 21 and up can get up close and personal with a tarantula. Other activities and demonstrations include airbrush face painting, humpback whale migration, and an owl pellet dissection.
There will also be several presentations, including one about bats and why they are different to most mammals. Guests can also check out some kinetic artwork. During the ‘Mr. Lizard Mobile Zoo’ show, individuals can enjoy an informative reptile program. In the planetarium, meanwhile, there will be an educational presentation about birds.
Prior to the event, individuals can visit a happy hour at Theory, the museum’s eatery, beginning at 5:00 pm. Before each monthly OMSI ‘After Dark’ event, the restaurant has a special menu.
The OMSI is a science education museum with several exhibit halls, science labs, a planetarium, a theater, and a U.S. navy submarine. No doubt a Print company has made Brochures and maps so visitors can see all the museum has to offer.
The ‘After-Dark’ event takes place on February 25 from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Identification is required to enter. The event costs $13 for nonmembers and $6.50 for OMSI members.
The OMSI is located on 1945 Southeast Water Avenue.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Brochures
