Green industry trends the topic for Portland speaker

Katie Dubow, market researcher and green industry trendspotter, will deliver the keynote address at the Farwest Show in Portland this August.

New garden trends affecting wholesale growers over the next decade, as well as everyone else in the industry down to the independent garden center owner, will be outlined by Dubow. Attendees of the Farwest Show will have one of the first opportunities to learn about the latest up-and-coming trends in horticulture as identified in the 2021 Garden Trends Report, scheduled to be released in July.

Dubow is the Garden Media Group’s new owner and president, having taken over from Suzi McCoy, her mother, on January 1. It is Dubow’s team that researches and publishes the Garden Trends Report, which many green industry professionals consider must-read material.

Garden Media’s popular report was first published in 2001; the upcoming 2021 trends report will be the 20th one published since its founding. Information regarding trends is dispersed in an assortment of formats, among which are a detailed whitepaper, free annual report, and a YouTube series.
