The former headquarters of Harry’s Fresh Foods has been purchased by Blount Fine Foods to expand its food production capabilities.
Blount, a leading marketer and producer of premium entrees, side dishes, and prepared soups, as well as the leader in the fresh retail soup market, has announced its acquisition of the Riverside Parkway property. The company’s first Portland property is a 70,000-square-foot food manufacturing facility, which it intends to increase to a total of 80,000 square feet.

In addition to expanding its production facilities network with its new Portland property, Blount revealed it has entered a third-party logistics (3PL) agreement. The company’s 3PL partner will deal with logistics and distribution across the U.S. Blount expects to enter into agreements with two additional 3PL locations in 2020.
Blount will invest over $25m to install new state-of-the-art processing equipment. The company anticipates employing around 50 workers when the facility is first operational in the third quarter of 2020. Once it is fully operational, probably by 2021, Blount will have a work force of up to 150 employees.
