Annual fair offers museum-quality prints for sale

The 3rd annual Portland Fine Print Fair is taking place on the last two days of this month at the Portland Museum of Art.

Prior to the fair, a benefit preview will be held on January 29 from 6:00 am to 9:00 am. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception while getting an early look at the prints that are available for sale. Tickets are $40 each or $30 for museum members.

There will be approximately 18 art dealers from North America and Ireland who will be selling prints from the 1500s up to the present. A variety of methods and periods will be represented. Even those who do not intend to purchase anything can view the items; they can discuss each one with the vendors to learn out about their history and what methods were used to create them.

While at the show, the public can also visit the Vivian and Gordon Gilkey Center for the Graphic Arts to view one of the best collections of prints in the Northwest.

This event may interest those who are employed by Portland graphic design companies, or who collect Print.

The Portland Fine Print Fair will be held at the Portland Museum of Art from January 30 to 31 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Admission is free. For more information, contact Sam Davidson at 206-624-7864.
