Annual Ale Festival back for the 21st annual event
The Holiday Ale Festival in Portland is back for another year of tasty treats.
This year’s event will feature more than 50 specialty ales, some of which were created specifically for this event.
Held over a five-day period, this winter event attracts thousands who brave the cold outdoors to taste beers and ale from various breweries. Organizers set up tents with lots of space heaters to keep attendees warm while they sip beer and enjoy the large decorated Christmas tree.
The uniqueness of this event includes the opportunity for attendees to sample rare and vintage beers that are not generally available in the area. The full brew list is available on the festivals website.
Along with the beer tasting, those attending can also enjoy purchasing event merchandise from vendors who likely have posters and brochures to hand out for future shopping needs. There will also be a root beer garden and food vendors on site.
The event will be held Wednesday, November 30 through Sunday, December 4 from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. It will take place at the Pioneer Courthouse Square at 701 SW 6th Avenue. Tickets cost $35 for general admission and if purchased in advance come with a tasking cup and 14 taster tickets. The advance purchase also enables ticketholders expedited entry all five days.
Tickets can be purchased on the day of the event for the same price, but do not include expedited entry and only includes 12 taster tickets.
