Beaverton will be hosting Flicks by the Fountain later this month at City Park.
The feature film will be “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.” This film was selected by the residents of Beaverton. Attendees will be able to see their feline hero, Puss in Boots, demonstrate his magic and bravery and catlike antics. The film will be in English with subtitles in Spanish.
The park will open at 6:30 pm so that people can enjoy the many food truck options, including Cousins Maine Lobster and Spice of Africa. Attendees will also be able to bring their own food and beverages. There will also be activities for children to enjoy.
The movie will start at dusk at approximately 8:30 pm and runs for one hour and 41 minutes. People are encouraged to bring blankets and low-back chairs to better enjoy the film. Those who bring high-back and elevated chairs will be asked to sit in designated areas.
Poster printing is often used to promote such special family-friendly events hosted by a city.
Parking for the event will be in the lot where the Farmers Market is held, next to the Beaverton City Library.
Flicks by the Fountain will be held on Friday, August 25. The park has restroom facilities, and the fountain will be turned off for the day.
