The Winter Lights and Tree Lighting Event will be held in Beaverton later this week.
This event is for the entire family and will feature special guests, live performances by local musicians, and activities for people of all ages. New this year will be local vendors at the Beaverton Area Chamber Winter Market and the Children’s Entrepreneur Market before the tree lighting. A variety of food items and other products will be on sale. The Children’s Entrepreneur Market is for entrepreneurs who are from 5 to 17 years old, and they run this market.
The British Swim School of West Portland Suburbs will be providing free cookies while supplies last. The Main Library will remain open until 8:00 p.m. so attendees can dry off, warm up, and take a holiday photo at one of the festive backdrops. There will also be the Alpacas of Oregon, which is a family friendly farm in Sherwood.
Performances at the Fountain Pad will be by Nothing But Treble, an acapella group from Westview High School; the Arts and Communication Magnet Academy Choir; the Beaverton Community Band Brass Quintet; and the Beaverton High School Holiday Instrumental Group.
Such holiday events can be promoted throughout a city with poster printing.
The tree lighting ceremony itself will be at Beaverton City Park on Friday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m.
