Beaverton to hold evening market

The annual Beaverton Night Market will be held next week.

This is family friendly celebration that features live performances, artisan vendors, local businesses, food from many cultures, and interactive activities. Poster printing can be used to promote such special celebrations throughout a city.

Highlights of the market will include live screen printing. Attendees can buy a blank shirt or bring their own tote bag or shirt and get the Cada Casa design of the market on their piece. Cada Casa is a non-profit organization based in the city that encourages the community to engage with the world around them and explore their passions.

Among the family friendly activities will be Cork Doll Craft by Nordic Northwest. Nordic Northwest will help kids to create small dolls made of cork and who are wearing traditional clothing from Sweden, Norway, Iceland Finland, and Denmark. The Patricia Reser Center for the Arts will also be presenting paper lantern craft and a West African Dance Performance.

Live performances will be at the Round Amphitheater Stage. Mayor Lacey Beaty will give a welcome to the event followed by performers A Cara O Cruz, Seffarine, and Bloco Alegria. Performances will also take place at the City Hall Plaza Stage. Performers will include Stuhr Fire Rhythm Group, PacificKWest, Alana Rich, and DJ Prashant.

Beaverton Night Market will take place from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday August 8.
