Japanese eatery opens in Beaverton

What was once the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Beaverton is now home to Ajisai Sushi & Steak, a premium steakhouse and sushi restaurant that specializes in the Japanese culinary arts.

The new establishment is on W. 114th Avenue. John Lin, co-owner of the restaurant, said that they combine fresh sushi with premium teppanyaki cooking and refined hospitality to create a unique dining experience. He added that a feature of the restaurant is the smokeless hibachi tables that provide a comfortable and clean environment where chefs can perform their culinary artistry at each table. Another highlight of the establishment is honoring the traditions of many centuries of teppanyaki, sushi, and the multicourse Japanese dinner while employing the fresh ingredients of the Pacific Northwest, along with chefs who are experts in their field.

Co-owner Allen Lin noted that another feature of Ajisai Sushi & Steak is to share Japanese culture as reflected in the thoughtfully put together interior décor. Two years were spent by the co-owners in designing and building the interior of the restaurant.

Such new establishments might benefit from flyer printing to inform residents and visitors of their special features and offerings.

There are two private dining rooms offered by the restaurant, one of which can accommodate 25 people and the other 45 people. The restaurant is open daily from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.
