Nike renames headquarters in Beaverton

The World Headquarters of Nike in Beaverton has been officially renamed to the Philip H. Knight Campus to honor its Chairman Emeritus and co-founder.

This renaming is a symbolic moment for the brand and the people who work for the company around the world.

Elliott Hill, Nike CEO and President, made this announcement on his one-year anniversary in his new role. He said that this is both a reminder and a tribute that demonstrates the same pioneering spirit synonymous with the company since its origins.

Name changes often call for the services of Stationery printers, as new corporate materials may need to be reprinted.

The campus in Beaverton was designed under the influence of Knight and has been the epicenter of the athletic and creative culture of the company. It was dedicated in October 1990 and brought together employees of the company who had been in several buildings across Portland. The new campus had six buildings named after some of the most famous athletes of the brands, such as Joan Benoit Samuelson and Michael Jordan.

Since then, the campus has grown with new buildings honoring other athletes and one million square feet of new research and creative space have been added with the Serena Williams Building and the LeBron James Innovation Center.

A special event next spring will be held to dedicate the new campus.
