Beaverton will be holding its Half Marathon and 5K/10K later this month.
All races will start and finish at the Portland Running Company on SW Gemini and SW Nimbus Avenues. The first 6.21 miles are shared between the 10K and the Half Marathon. The 5K has a turnaround on Fanno Creek. When those who are participating in the Half Marathon return to the starting point, they then repeat the previously completed loop.
The racecourse also welcomes walkers and will be open for four hours. For those who anticipate that it will take them longer than this, they should consider trying out a shorter distance or starting earlier than the official start of the respective race.
The cost to register for the Half Marathon is $125, $99 for the 10K, and $79 for the 5K. Registrants who register before the day of the race can pick up their packets at the Portland Running Company from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday September 12. Such events can benefit from poster printing to promote them throughout a city.
Ribbons will be awarded for first, second, and third place in age groups from 14 years of age and younger through those 80 years of age and older. The winners will be announced at the party at the finish line starting at 9:15 a.m.
The races will take place on Saturday September 13. All races will start at 8:00 a.m.
