REI Co-op, a specialty outdoor retailer, will be opening a new store in Beaverton.
REI Co-op will be the anchor tenant at the Walker Center, which is located on SW Cedar Hills Boulevard. The store will span close to 40,000 square feet and feature the largest selection of Apparel and gear in the state. It will also have a full-service skiing, bike, and snowboard shop that will enable certified mechanics to repair and tune equipment.
Such new stores often turn to flyer printing to promote their upcoming locations and the products and services that will be offered.
REI regional director, Bob Cagle, said that REI will be taking a more long-term approach to determine how best to serve its members and those in the outdoor community. Cagle added that this store in Beaverton will be in the middle of the metropolitan area to conveniently provide for its customers and will complement its stores in Clackamas, Tualatin, and Hillsboro. He said that the store is looking forward to continuing to partner with non-profit organizations to protect natural places.
REI also offers online resources with an Expert Advice library where customers can plan adventures and advance or learn new skills, among other things. Member benefits include discounts on shop experiences and services, an annual 10% reward on purchases, and a used gear trade-in program.
