New Pilates studio opens in Beaverton
The nation’s largest Pilates company recently opened a sixth location in Beaverton.
Club Pilates at Cedar Hills Studio is owned by Scott and Misty Sander, and is the couple’s second studio in the area, with the first one have been opened in April 2017 in the West Hills area.
The boutique studio allows anyone of any fitness level or age to take the club’s specialty of reformer fusion classes. The Sanders decided to open their own studio as Misty found that Pilates helped her to heal and strengthen her bad back. She became a certified Pilates instructor eight years ago. Scott, meanwhile, had retired after 27 years with Blount International, based in Portland, and needed a new outlet for his time and resources.
Scott said that they wanted to open a business that would benefit the community of Portland and enable them to live a full life. They design their studios so that people feel welcome when they walk in and are comfortable regardless of their abilities, age, or body shape and size.
During their grand opening celebration this month, the Sanders have offered free introductory classes this month and up to 20% off memberships through the end of the year. Promotional pens and products could be used to make people aware of such new businesses in the community.
