Brand new apartment complexes are coming to the South Cooper Mountain area of Beaverton.
New apartments are across from Mountainside High School on Southwest 175th Avenue, with property in front of them to be converted into 75 rental units dubbed the Goldcrest Apartments. Ground was broken on these units in November by BRIDGE Housing, a developer of affordable accommodation based in San Francisco. These units will be for families earning between 30 and 60 percent of the median income in the area.
On Southwest Scholls Ferry Road will be another set of apartments to be called the Main Street Project. This will consist of 164 affordable housing units designated for those earning between 30% and 70% of the median income in the area. There will be 80 units set aside for senior citizens.
In addition, there are 145 more units planned for the Blackbird Farms development, which is on the west side of a lot that spans nine acres. This area was brought into the city limits of Beaverton in 2013 for the purpose of long-term development for housing and protection of natural resources.
Local Print shops are often hired to create Flyers and other printed materials to inform the community of such new developments.
The Goldcrest Apartments are expected to be completed in late Spring 2024, while the Main Street Project is scheduled to have residents move in by September 2024.
