Gourmet donut shop to open in Beaverton
The gourmet donut shop Blue Star is coming to the Progress Ridge Townsquare in Southwest Beaverton.
Blue Star Donuts + Coffee is based in Portland and was started in 2012. Over the past five years, it has been increasingly expanding, having opened two locations in the Los Angeles area and several additional ones in Portland. This new location in Beaverton marks the seventh in Oregon and its ninth overall.
CEO and Blue Star owner, Katie Poppe, said that many fans in Tigard and Beaverton have requested the addition of a store to their towns through emails and many other non-subtle hints, and that a dream has now become a reality. She went on to express here excitement about the new store and its ability to bring donuts and other treats to the community.
There will be the full selection of buttermilk, cake, donut favorites, and brioche offered in the store in addition to donut flavors that are exclusive to the Portland locations. The store will also serve the ‘Blue Star Blend’ from Coava Coffee, which is also based in Portland.
Stores like these can benefit from the assistance of various marketing services to help promote unique creations, as well as grand openings. The date for this one has not yet been determined, but it will include a free giveaway.
