Beaverton opens public parking garage

There is now a new central parking garage in downtown Beaverton next to the new Patricia Reser Center for the Arts.

Located at Rose Biggi Avenue and Southwest Crescent Street, it offers 270 parking spaces, four electric charging stations, and eight ADA-accessible spaces. It is also near the Beaverton Central MAX station and was designed to meet the growing long-planned amenities and demand in the commercial core of Beaverton.

Mayor Lacey Beaty said that the new public parking garage complements the development in the downtown area. He added that with this more accessible parking, people can now more easily come to the downtown and experience all the excitement that is taking place.

The new garage also offers 6,500 square feet of commercial retail space on the first floor. It meets Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification and as it was designed and planned along with the new Reser Center, there are two public art pieces on the exterior of the building. Banner printing might also be used in such places to make the community aware of such a new amenity.

The garage is opened 24 hours a day. The rates are $1.00 an hour for up to eight hours. There is a flat rate of $15 for between 8 and 24 hours. The cost for a lost ticket is $18.
