Beaverton high school commemorates 50 years
A celebration honoring the half-century history of Aloha High School in Beaverton will be held next month.
At the celebration, there will be performances, raffles, and guest speakers. Families of students who attend the school, teachers, staff, alumni, and the entire community are invited to this event.
The event will start with an open house beginning at 1:00 pm and lasting until 5:00 pm. A luau will be the theme, presenting hula dancers and other performances, music and speakers, Hawaiian food that will be available for purchase, and a photo booth. There will also be tours of the school along with academics and athletics exhibits and other displays, as well as birthday cake and door prizes. A $100 gift card for Amazon is to be raffled off to those who drop off their ticket for registration to the event.
A Hawaiian dinner with entertainment will begin at 5:00 pm. Food will be served buffet-style and feature teriyaki chicken, yakisoba noodles, and other typical staples of Hawaiian cuisine. Tickets for purchase are required for this event and available on a first come, first served basis.
The celebration will be held on Saturday, May 19.
Banner printing companies can be hired to create displays to be posted throughout the community and in the school so that people can learn more about such events.
