The Best of Beaverton Awards were recently given to non-profit organizations, innovators, businesses, and public workers to honor their contributions to the city.
Residents of such cities can be made aware of such awards with flyer printing and other printing services.
The Better Beaverton Award was given to the Beaverton Resource Center. Ashley Hartmeier-Prigg, member of the city council, said that the Beaverton Resource Center exemplifies the theme of the award to recognize an organization that has made a profound impact on the community with her support of underserved residents of the city.
Grey Raven Gallery was presented with the Better Business Award by council member Allison Tivnon. Tivnon said that Grey Raven Gallery is more than just a place that displays local art but blends commerce with compassion and is a hub for education, creativity, and opportunity.
John Dugger, council member, gave the Innovation Award to the B-SOBR program of the Beaverton Municipal Court. He said that this program has an innovative approach to treatment that helps people establish a more stable and healthier life.
The Good Neighbor Award was presented to Jennifer Hemmeyer by council member Kevin Teater. Teater said that Hemmeyer has gone above and beyond to help the Center for Mediation and Dialogue of the city and to help neighbors resolve disputes.
Other awards given were the Public Servant Award and the Beaverton Spirit Award.
