University exhibition to begin its run

The Ohio State University (OSU) will start its “I Can See Clearly Now” art exhibition in early July.

The exhibit is a collaborative effort between Aaron Peters and Lydia Smith, both of whom work as part of Columbus-based OSU’s art department. Their work incorporates different artistic media, including painting and sculptures, to express the sense of freedom they experience as the world looks to recover from the pandemic. The artists describe the feeling as similar to clear skies following rainy weather, which serves as inspiration for the exhibit’s name.

Anyone looking to attend must pre-register by signing up on the university’s website. COVID-19 protocols will also be in place for anyone visiting the gallery. All attendees will need to maintain social distancing and wear face masks.

“I Can See Clearly Now” is part of OSU’s “Summer Series” program, which includes a varieties of performances, workshops, and discussions for the public. These events often use flyer printing to help with promotion. This specific exhibit will be available at the university’s Hopkins Hall Gallery.

The exhibit will open on July 6 and will run until July 16. The gallery is open on Mondays to Fridays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Registration for the exhibit is free, but entry will be limited to 10 people at any given time. Also, guests can only stay for a maximum of an hour.
