Columbus welcomes return of seafood celebration

For more than 100 years, Columbus has been treated to a seafood celebration, and this well-loved event will once again make its return later this month.

The city’s Chamber Clambake and Lobster Feast will be marking its 101th year at Historic Crew Stadium, and its registration system is still accepting bookings at the time of writing. It will be a gathering of community and business leaders, and it is expected that at least 1,200 guests will be on hand for the celebration.

Along with the chance to mix and mingle, ticketholders will receive their clams and lobster as well as a selection of sides such as rolls and slaw. Clam chowder is on the menu, and the landlubbers can dine on the kielbasa (Polish sausage), corn on the cob, rolls, and potatoes. Everyone will be given crackers to make it easier to open their lobster. Wine, beer, and other beverages will be poured.

While the event is organized by the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, it is open to both members and non-members. Promotional products ranging from lobster bibs to specially printed keepsake drinkware can be prepared for a special event by a local printing services company.

This celebration of Columbus's business community is scheduled for Thursday, September 25, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Passes to join the festivities can be reserved through its website, and it will be held at One Black and Gold Blvd.
