Columbus sets Summer Movie Nights schedule
A schedule of special outdoor experiences that will make the most of a series of evenings has been planned for this summer, and these family friendly gatherings are open to all.
Topiary Park will be transformed into an outdoor movie theater, and three retro films will be screened. The events will each open an hour before the movies begin, and these activities are on offer thanks to the efforts of Columbus Recreation and Parks and the Discovery Special Improvement District.
Those who attend the screenings are encouraged to arrive early so they can purchase their dinner from one of the food trucks, and there will be other activities on offer as well. They are welcome to bring blankets to spread out or other portable seating. There's no charge to take part, and the movies to be shown include “Clueless”, “The Goonies” and “Ghostbusters”. Topiary Park is located at 480 E. Town Street.
Communities that offer movies under the stars and other outdoor activities may be in the market for banner printing services. A local print shop can help, and will have options for both single and multiple use.
Columbus will be hosting these evenings of movie magic on July 25th, August 22nd and September 25th, and the fun will start at 7:30 pm when the food trucks start serving. Anyone who would like more details can reach the organizers by phone at 614-645-5133.
