Multi-instrumentalist to appear in Cincinnati
A multi-instrumentalist whose emphasis is mainly on smooth jazz will appear soon in Cincinnati.
Vincent Ingala is a native of Prospect, Connecticut whose favorite instrument is the tenor saxophone. He taught himself to play the saxophone, piano, and guitar, and played gigs in the local area. His father was a DJ and introduced Vincent to different musical genres including R&B, funk, soul, classic rock ‘n roll, and smooth jazz, which became his focus.
He released “North End Soul,” his debut album, in 2010. The recording, which Ingala composed, recorded, and produced himself when he was 17, featured R&B and smooth jazz tunes. “It Is What It Is” one of the album tracks, rose to No. 14 on Billboard’s Smooth Jazz Songs.
His next album was 2012’s “Can’t Stop Now,” which reached No. 28 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. One of the songs from this album, “Wish I Was There,” made it to No. 1. He has continued recording, releasing “Escape with Me” in 2024.
In addition, he has performed in several countries including Sweden, Spain, Italy, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and worked with artists such as Mindi Abair, Peter White, and many others. A review says:
Vincent Ingala will be at the Ludlow Garage on January 25 at 7.30 pm. Posters are often used to promote events like this, and organizers can find them at print shops.
