Valley Stream invited to a festivefall celebration

Autumn is here, and in Valley Stream, that means it’s time to head to Franklin Square to enjoy a festival of fall-themed fun.

The Franklin Square Civic Association will be partnering with the Franklin Square Historical Society to host the community’s second annual Fall Festival. Young and old alike are invited to come to a family friendly afternoon of games, food, and more.

There will be crafting stations set up and also face painting and games for the kids, and the adults can browse through the various displays that have been set up by local vendors. Everyone can enjoy the colorful fall chrysanthemums and pumpkins that will be offered for sale, while the auto buffs in the crowd can admire the cars that will be on display during the car show. There will also be an exhibit of Franklin Square memorabilia, a costume parade, and trunk or treating for the kids, and a DJ will supply the entertainment. Businesses that plan on taking part can have an assortment of Promotional Products prepared ahead of time by a local Print company.

This day of fall festivities will be held on October 14th in Rath Park, and there will be no fee charged for admission. Everyone is welcome to come out, and anyone who would like to find out more about the event, or the community and its history, can do so by visiting the Franklin Square Historical Society’s website.
