The 4th annual Community Fest is taking place in Valley Stream next month, presented by the area’s chamber of commerce.
Organizers are seeking arts and craft vendors, local businesses, food providers, and entertainers of all kinds to help make this year's event a success. Fees for a vendor space of 10 x 10 feet are $25 for chamber members and Rockaway Avenue businesses, and $50 for non-members, while space plus advertisements is $75 for members and $100 for non-members. Community organizations will be given space free of charge. For those who just want to purchase advertisements, the cost is $50 or $100.
Events like this allow small businesses in the community to make themselves known to the public, and nonprofit organizations to provide information about their programs and services.
In addition to commercial sponsors and vendors, organizers are also looking for volunteers to ensure the smooth running. Volunteers will help run children's activities, serve food, and perform many other tasks.
Valley Stream brochure printers will likely provide the product to advertise the festival in the area.
