There are two upcoming craft shows taking place in Nassau County on the last weekend of this month. Both will be held just in time for the public to do some shopping for Mother's Day.
The 25th annual Merrick Spring Festival is presented by the Merrick Chamber of Commerce. Vendors will be selling a wide variety of items including clothing, children's items, and jewelry. Presently, 10x10’ booths are still available to rent for local small businesses or artisans. Fees are $180 for merchandise and arts and crafts and $350 for food. Call 516-442-6000 to learn more.
The Mother's Day Craft and Gift Fair is taking place on the same weekend in North Massapequa. This event is open to vendors of all kinds, including direct sales, handmade arts and crafts, and business. Applications are still being accepted for vendors, for which fees are $150 for both days or $85 per day. For more information, call 631-730-0522.
Both of these events will be great exposure for local independent business owners and will likely attract people from all over, including nearby Valley Stream.
The Merrick Spring Festival will take place at Merrick Avenue and Sunrise Highway and the Mother's Day Craft and Gift Fair is taking place at 4250 Jerusalem Ave in North Massapequa. Both will be held from April 30 to May 1.
