Snapple was started here in 1972 by Arnold Greenberg, Hyman Golden, and Leonard Marsh, who launched a part-time project supplying health food stores with fruit juice. In 1929, the Ninety-Nines were created when twenty-six women who were licensed pilots, including Amelia Earhart, came together to create an organization to support each other. Of the 117 women pilots who were invited, 99 replied, and the organization had its name. Today there are 155 chapters of the Ninety-Nines worldwide.
