Kids' and adults' art classes to be held in Valley Stream

The village of Valley Stream will be hosting two art classes this fall at the Valley Stream Community Center.

Local Print shops are often called upon to promote such classes by creating Flyers and Posters with more information about such classes.

There will be a Children and Youth Arts Experience after-school program. Designed for children between the ages of 4 and 13 years old, the program will teach children basic painting and drawing skills, abstract design, and creative self-expression while encouraging them to talk about their work. A certified and experienced instructor will be leading this program.

The classes for the program will meet in The Lake Room. The fee is $150 per child with a material fee of $35 due to the instructor at the first class. This program will run on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 pm from October 3 through November 21.

For adults, there will be “The Delight of Painting,” which is designed for those 18 years of age and older and for people of all skill levels. The course will be taught by Matt Kahn. The cost for the course is $110 for residents and $135 for non-residents for 10 class sessions.

There will be two sections of the course, with the Wednesday section meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 pm from September 27 through December 6, and the Thursday section meeting from 4:30 to 6:30 pm from September 28 through December 7.
